ROME and LATIUM
1 st DAY : ARRIVAL AT ROME
After flight has landed in Fiumicino airport, we will you with a private transfer to yuor hotel in Rome . Accomodation at a 3/4 stars hotel . Dinner in a typical restaurant. Overnight .
2 nd DAY : ROME CITY TOUR
Breakfast and overnight at the hotel .
In the morning city sightseening with private bus and english speaking guide. The tour will show some of the most beautiful monuments in Rome, including the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona. Then the chance to admire Castel Sant'angelo from the outside and visit St. Peter Basilica. Lunch free. Afternoon at disposal.
3 rd DAY : TIVOLI
Half day excursion
Breakfast and overnight at the hotel . Dinner in a typical restaurant. In the morning departure to Tivoli , a small town famous for its shooting spring of sulphurous "Acqua Abulea" . An English Speaking guide will explain while visiting Hadrian's Villa, built under the homonymous Emperor, and Villa D'Este, famous for its water water system and its marvellous gardens of the Reinassance period . Return back to Rome rest of the day at your disposal .
4 th DAY : MONUMENTS OF ANCIENT ROME
Breakfast and ovenight at the hotel . After breakfast you will enjoy the splendor of the classic Roman Empire : An English speaking guide will accompany you to the square of the Capitol , seat of the Rome Town Hall . Then a visit will be made to the Roman Forum. The tour will continue towards the Colosseum, the Circus Maximus, the Aventine Hill and the Pyramid of Caius Cestius, ending up with a visit to the Basilica St. Paul's otside the walls. Afternoon at your disposal .
5 th DAY : ROME
Breakfast and ovenight at the hotel. Whole day at your disposal to continue the visit of the city on your own, to do some shopping , and taste the unique Roman atmosphere . You just have to choose between the Vatican Museum and Galleries, Roman churches and Basilicas, the typical areas of Trastevere, one of the many different museum and so on .
6 th DAY : ORVIETO - VITERBO
Full day excursion ( Km 250 ruond trip )
Breakfast and ovenight at the hotel. Lunch in restaurant en route . Departure from the hotel by private bus . First stop will be in Orvieto. Ancient Etruscan city , had a second period of splendour during the Middle Age and the Renaissance periods . The beautiful monuments we can admire are the Domus and the Palaces standing on the square. After lunch the tour will proceed to Viterbo, important residence of the Roman Pope during the 13th and 14th centuries . It is wotrh a visit to the Palazzo Papale and Piazza del Plebiscito hosting Three wonderful buildings .
7 th DAY : ROMA
Breakfast and ovenight at the hotel.. the whole days is at yuor disposal . Dinner in a typical restaurant.
8 th DAY : ROMA
Fiumicino Airport
After breakfast transfer by private coach to Fiumicino Airport and flight back to your destination
